Throughout your crime investigation, you will need to procure various warrants in order to conduct your investigation legally without violating a suspect's rights. The fourth amendment to the US Constitution protects citizens against "unreasonable searches and seizures." In order to comply with the fourth amendment, you must apply for a search warrant to find fingerprint, blood, hair, and pen samples for each of your suspects for whom you can establish probable cause.
