Warrants

Throughout your crime investigation, you will need to procure various warrants in order to conduct your investigation legally without violating a suspect's rights. The fourth amendment to the US Constitution protects citizens against "unreasonable searches and seizures." In order to comply with the fourth amendment, you must apply for a search warrant to find fingerprint, blood, hair, and pen samples for each of your suspects for whom you can establish probable cause. Once you have substantial evidence against a specific suspect, you can apply for an arrest warrant. Use the files below to see examples of search and arrest warrants.
